Checking the wiring








- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connectors for the rear loudspeakers
- Disconnect the 16-pin connector for the audio module (AUD).

Hint: Certain systems may have two loudspeakers connected on the same signal cable, one treble loudspeaker and one rear loudspeaker. For further information, see the wiring diagram.

Note! The treble loudspeaker is not included in all systems. Check whether the treble loudspeaker is included.

Check the cable terminals in the female and male sections of the connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
Check the signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Take readings between:
- Audio module (AUD) terminal #B4 and rear left-hand speaker terminal #2.
- Audio module (AUD) terminal #B12 and rear left-hand speaker terminal #1.
- Audio module (AUD) terminal #B5 and rear right-hand speaker terminal #2.
- Audio module (AUD) terminal #B13 and rear right-hand speaker terminal #1.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Check that there is sound heard from the loudspeakers for the audio module (AUD) by trying the FM/AM radio, CD or MD player.

Is the function OK?
