Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition




The shift solenoids S1, S2 manage the gear changing in the gearbox together with the linear solenoids. The solenoids are controlled using the power stage in the transmission control module (TCM). The control unit activates the power stage when the solenoids are to be activated and the circuit receives power.
If the transmission control module (TCM) registers that the circuit to solenoid S1 or S2 receives a signal that is too low while the solenoid is activated, diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM-P097300 or TCM-P097600will be activated. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that is generated depends on which circuit is defective.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- Auxiliary program Emergency mode 1 in the transmission control module (TCM) has started.

Possible source
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
- Solenoid not working.
- Internal fault in transmission control module (TCM).

- General warning lamp lit
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
- Harsh gear changing
- No gear changing.
