Condition




The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) checks the rate of change of the signal from the oil temperature sensor. If the signal from the sensor changes more rapidly than calculated, the control module interprets this as a fault and the trouble code is set.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

- Four wheel drive is disengaged.

- Damaged temperature sensor.
- Damaged control module.
