Removal
Note: Preparations
See Drive shaft left. replacing
Remove the drive shaft from the transmission
Remove
- the splash guard under the engine.
- the cover for the drive shaft pilot bearing.
Pull the drive shaft straight out from the transmission.
Note: Take care not to damage the drive shaft when removing it from the transmission.
Caution: Later models have a rubber seal on the constant velocity joint. Do not damage the seal. It will be needed for installation.
Installing the drive shaft
Install the drive shaft in the transmission
Note: Do not damage the seal.
Install the cover for the support bearing. Tighten to 25 Nm.
Install the splashguard under the engine.
Align the drive shaft in the hub and the spring strut in the wheel spindle

Adjust the wheel spindle to the dimension measured prior to removal
