Preparatory work

Removing the drive shaft
Remove the drive shaft. See: Rear drive axle Rear Drive Axle.

Removal

Removing the seal ring




Remove the seal ring using a jimmy bar.

Note! Check that no seal residue remains in the rear axle gear housing.

Installation

Installing the seal ring




Lubricate the seal lip with wheel bearing grease, 1161251-2 (400 gram).
Use 999 7192 Drift 999 7192 Drift. Tap in the seal.

Finishing

Installing drive shaft
Install the drive shaft. See: Rear drive axle Rear Drive Axle.
