Loudspeaker, rear side door























INTRODUCTION
- NOTE! Read through the whole installation instruction before starting the work.
- The front page gives the date of this edition and the edition it replaces
- The second page shows the tools needed for the installation and the contents of the installation kit
- The illustrations display the procedure in order of operation. The order of operation is repeated in the text section
- Cut out the text page in order to follow the illustrations and text at the same time.

Removing the door panel




- Turn the ignition key to position 0
- Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch.

Note! Wait at least five minutes before disconnecting the connector or disconnecting other electrical equipment.

- Remove the small internal panel for the door handle. Carefully pry off the panel using a weatherstrip tool, opposite the three catches in the joint on the underside.

- Remove the door handle panel and the door module. Carefully pry off the panel using a weatherstrip tool. Pull the panel up. The panel is secured by five catches in the door panel.

- Disconnect the connector on the underside of the door module.




- Remove the two screws holding the door panel to the door
- Disconnect the door panel from the door. Carefully pry off the panel opposite the eight clips at the sides and bottom. Use a weatherstrip tool. Pull the top edge of the door panel until the four clips release
- Unhook the door panel from the lock button.

Installing loudspeakers

- Disconnect the connector (1) from the holder for the treble loudspeaker, or from the existing treble loudspeaker if applicable
- Disconnect the socket and mechanical cable (2) from the door opener
- Place the door panel to one side.

Applies when installing new bass speakers
- Disconnect the connector (3) from the loudspeaker
- Drill out the rivets (4) from the existing loudspeaker. Use a 6 mm (1/4" ) diameter drill bit
- Remove the loudspeakers. Remove any rivet swarf from the rivet holes
- Remove any rivet swarf from the door
- Install the new loudspeaker in the door. Use the rivets from the kit
- Connect the connector to the loudspeaker.

Applicable when installing new treble loudspeakers
- Remove the holder (1) for the treble loudspeaker or the holder and existing treble loudspeaker in front of the door opener. Carefully pry off the holder. Use a small screwdriver. The holder is secured by five catches (see inset)
- Place the holder or holder and existing treble loudspeaker to one side. New ones can be found in the kit
- Press the new treble loudspeaker and holder into place in the same location. Ensure that all the mounting hooks have secured. The connector (2) is connected to the treble loudspeaker when reinstalling the door panel.

Applies to all models
- Connect the connector to the treble loudspeaker
- Reconnect the mechanical cable and socket to the door opener
- Insert the door module connector in the hole in the door panel
- Press the door panel into place. Secure the door panel using the two screws
- Connect the connector to the door module. Press the panel with the door module into place in the door panel. Ensure that all the mounting hooks have secured
- Reinstall the small panel in the door handle panel
- Repeat points 1-5 on the other side.
