Removing the tie rod
Remove
- the wheel
- the mounting for the parking brake cable on the tie rod
- the inner and outer tie rod retaining screws
- the tie rod.
Installing tie rod
Install
- the tie rod
- the inner and outer retaining screws for the tie rod. Do not tighten yet
- the mounting for the parking brake cable.
Install tensioner 999 5659. Pull up the rear suspension to the normal position. Tighten the outer screw on the tie rod. (M12) Tighten the eccentric screw and nut. (M12) Remove the tensioner and mountings. Install the wheel. Align the wheels.
