Removing the front trim molding
Remove:
- the side turn signal flasher. See Side turn signal flasher, replacing Service and Repair
- the trim molding
- any tape residue. Use: 951 2942 Circle 951 2942 Circle and: 951 2949 Holder 951 2949 Holder.
Removing the rear trim molding
Remove:
- the trim molding.
- any tape residue. Use: 951 2942 Circle 951 2942 Circle and: 951 2949 Holder 951 2949 Holder.
Installing the front and rear trim moldings
Note! The car must be at least room temperature, above 20 °C.
Wash the area for the molding. Use a 50/50 mixture of isopropanol and water.
Wipe dry using a clean lint-free cloth.
Remove the backing from the tape.
Locate the locating pins for the molding in the holes.
Press down along the entire length of the molding to ensure the tape is in contact with the door.
Applies to the front molding: Install the side turn signal flasher. See Side turn signal flasher, replacing Service and Repair.
Note! To ensure optimal adhesion, do not wash the car for 72 hours.
