Note! Wash and degrease the car before replacing the body kit.
Method content
This method consists of:
- Replacing the body kit panel front fender
- Replacing body kit panel rear fender
- Replacing body kit panel rear side door
- Replacing body kit panel front side door.
Replacing the body kit panel front fender
Removing the body kit panel front fender
Mark the location of the body kit panel against the bodywork using a whiteboard marker pen.
Drill out the rivets in the front wheel arch. Use a 6 mm (1/4") diameter drill bit.
Remove the remains of the rivets from the wheel arch.
Use a plastic weatherstrip tool to detach the body kit panel. Start at the rear corner.
Caution! Do not damage painted surfaces.
Hint: If the tape is difficult to remove, use a hot-air gun and heat gently until the tape softens up.
Cleaning the bodywork around the body kit panel front fender
Clean any adhesive residue off the bodywork. Use 951 2942 Circle 951 2942 Circle. Clean using Isopropanol.
Caution! Do not use the tool on painted surfaces with plastic carriers.
All adhesive residue must be removed from painted surfaces with plastic carriers mechanically. Use a plastic weatherstrip tool and then clean using Isopropanol.

Clean tape residue from the body kit panel. Use a knife or putty knife.
Clean and dry the area for the tape. Use isopropanol.
Apply enamel primer to the surfaces for the tape on the body kit panel.
Caution! Install the tape after 15 minutes, and within 3 hours, of applying the primer.
Install the tape on the body kit panel as illustrated.

Remove the parking lamp. Carefully pry off in the cut out in the lower edge of the parking lamp. Use a plastic weatherstrip tool.
Note! Ensure that the connector does not fall into the door.
