Problems with echoing with the other caller, outside the car, can occur when using handsfree. The echo can vary in magnitude and can vary in frequency. Interference and different clicking noises can also occur.
This can be remedied by upgrading the software. Order and download software. General
1. New software for the GSM module. Download to the phone module (PHM). This software is not included when reloading the phone module (PHM).
Note! If the software download to the GSM module is interrupted, the phone module (PHM will not function afterwards. It is important that a battery charger with sufficient capacity is connected during download. Do not cancel the downloads for any reason.
2. New software upgrade for the phone module (PHM). (This software is also included when reloading the phone module (PHM)).
3. New software upgrade for the infotainment control module (ICM). (This software is also included when reloading the infotainment control module (ICM)).
4. New software upgrade for the audio control module (AUD). (This software is also included when reloading the audio control module (AUD)).
Note! It is extremely important that all four software downloads are downloaded for each control module at the same time and in the correct order. After the software has been downloaded into the vehicle, the new sound parameters must be updated in the phone module (PHM). This is carried out by turning the ignition key to position 0 and waiting 10 seconds. Then turn the ignition key to position II.
Check that the latest available software for the control modules is downloaded into the vehicle by trying to purchase an "upgrade" for the relevant control module.
If an "upgrade" is available, continue to download the software according to the routine.
If an "upgrade" is not available, this can mean that the latest software is already installed in the vehicle. To find out why a purchase was declined, highlight the row for the relevant software purchase and click "Details". If the software purchase is void with trouble code 134, the software is already installed in the vehicle.
Note! The corrective action above does not replace the electrical fault-tracings which are connected to the symptom. After checking the software, it is important to carry out a function check to verify that the problem has been remedied.
