Mass movement sensor module (MMS) front, replacing
Removal
Note! As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and/or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.
Preparatory work
Deactivate alarm.
Remove the lens from the interior lighting. See Bulb interior lighting, replacing Bulb Interior Lighting, Replacing.
Release the clips (1, 2, 3). Remove the cover. See the illustration.
Hint: The mass movement sensor module (MMS) is secured to the top of the headlining using double-sided adhesive tape.

Twist off the sensor.
Disconnect sensor connector.
Remove the sensor.
Installation
Installing the mass movement sensor module (MMS)
Note! The location of the mass movement sensor module (MMS) is important for the function of the alarm. The sensor must be installed in the center of the vehicle. (Equidistant to the center from both the left and right-hand A-posts.) The sensor must be installed so that it is straight. It must not be turned more than a maximum of 5°. The connector to the left as illustrated.
Connect the connector.
Remove the protective film from the tape. Only use the tape supplied with the volume sensor.
Press the sensor into place in the top of the headlining using the tape. Press by hand for at least 15 seconds.
Finishing work
Reinstall cover.
Install the lens for the interior lighting. See Bulb interior lighting, replacing Bulb Interior Lighting, Replacing.
Test the function.
