Checking components and wiring
- Ignition off.
Check the supply cable between phone module (PHM) connector B terminal #11 (#53) and handset connector terminal #5 (#25). Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Try replacing the carphone handset if no fault is found in the wiring.
Remedy as necessary.

- Switch on the carphone.
Make a call so that both the handset and the hands-free system are used. See instruction manual.
