High signal

Checking components and wiring








- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector for the microphone in the rear view mirror.
Check the cable terminals. Check for contact resistance, loose connections and oxidation.
Check the cable terminals in the female and male sections of the connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B8 and microphone input terminal #A2 (pin B). Check for voltage.
Check the signal cable between audio module (AUD) terminal #B16 and microphone input terminal #A1 (pin A). Check for voltage.
Check the resistance between terminal #A1 (pin A) and #A2 (pin B) in the microphone connector. The resistance should be between 100 ohms - 10 kOhms.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Check that the microphone input functions by activating the microphone appropriately. Make a telephone call using the handsfree system or use the voice control function.

Does the microphone function?

Yes - Troubleshooting procedure complete

No - Fault-tracing information

Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
