Clutch cable, replacing

Preparatory work

Removing the clutch line
This method only describes replacement of the clutch line between the clutch master cylinder and the adapter, connected to the lower cable.
Remove the lower clutch line. See: Clutch cable, replacing, B5244T5, M66 L.H.D..

At the clutch cylinder (1), pull up the striker plate. Pull out the clutch line. Wrap the end of the pipe in paper to prevent spillage. At the adapter (2), pull up the striker plate. Pull out the clutch line.
Carefully disconnect the clutch line from the mounting on the firewall. Remove the clutch line.

Installation

Installing the clutch line




Lubricate the O-rings on the clutch line connections. Use brake fluid.
Press the clutch line in the clutch cylinder connector (1). Press the striker plate into place.
Press the clutch line into the adapter (2). Press the striker plate into place.

Finishing
