Stop lamp rear spoiler, replacing

Note! As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Note! Up to model year 2003, the cable (1) is routed to the left-hand side of the rear door. After this, it is routed to the right-hand side.

Removing the stop lamp





Remove:
- the tailgate panel. See Panel, tailgate, replacing
- the blind cover plugs (2) for the screws
- the screws (3).
Remove the stop lamp.
Disconnect the connector.
Cut off the cable at the connector. Tie a cord or similar to the end of the cable. Pull the cable through the spoiler.

Hint: If necessary, enlarge the hole in the spoiler to accommodate the cable. Use an 8 mm drill bit. Use a drill stop.

Installation
Tie the new cable to the cord, and pull the new cable into position.
Align the stop lamp

Install:
- the screws (3). Tighten
- the blind cover plugs (2)
- the pins in the connector. Connect the connector. Secure the cable in the clips
- the tailgate panel. See Panel, tailgate, replacing .
Test the function.
