Checking the wires
Check and measure the wire between combined instrument 4 and engine control module connector B 46 for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault , and a short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Ignition off.
- Connect connectors, install components, etc.
- Engine running.
- Check that the malfunction indicator light (MIL) is off.
Activate the malfunction indicator light (MIL).
