Checking ground leads to the control panel

Hint: None of the control buttons work if there is an open-circuit in the cable.

Check the cable between connector C terminal #6 and ground and terminal #7 and ground. Check for an open-circuit. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.
If no fault is found in the wiring replace control panel.
