- The new floor hatch has two decals with instructions on how to use the jack for two wheel or four wheel drive cars.
Applies to two wheel drive cars:
- Remove the decal with P/N 9454320 (see the lower right corner of the decal) from the floor hatch.
Applies to four wheel drive cars:
- Remove the decal with P/N 9454319 (see the lower right corner of the decal) from the floor hatch.
- Lift the rear edge of the rear floor hatch 10-15 cm (4-5") to remove it. Then detach the floor hatch by pulling it backwards out of its mountings. The hatch is securely installed. Detach one side at a time
- Place the floor hatch to one side. The floor hatch will not be reused.
- Check the floor supports to see if there is a lug protruding from them which is used to hook the support belt for the carrier bag holder
- If there is a lug. Proceed directly to point 13.
- Pull the rear edge of the front floor hatch up. Pull the front floor hatch backwards. Remove the front floor hatch from the mountings.
- Remove the foldable side panels on the left and right-hand sides of the cargo compartment.
- Remove the storage box from under the rear floor hatch by turning the clips on the left and right-hand sides 90°.
- Lift out the box.
- Fold the rear backrest forward on both the right and left-hand sides.
- Remove the cover and then the screw from the front edges of the side panels on the left and right-hand sides of the cargo compartment. Remove the side panels from the left and right-hand sides
- Pull the top of the panel out until the clips release
- If the car is equipped with a 12V electrical socket by the right-hand side panel, disconnect its connector
- Fold the panel inwards. Lift the panel out.
- Remove the insulation panel in the cargo compartment.
- Remove the screw on the left-hand side of the tailgate sill
- Remove the three screws from the left-hand floor support
- Repeat the operation on the other side
- If the car has a CD or RTI system, disconnect their screws and note how the washers are installed
- Lift up the front edge of the floor supports. Pull the floor supports forward.
- Place the floor supports upside down
- Take out the brackets with lugs from the kit. Align the brackets with the lug in the hole and the hole in the bracket on the locating pin for the floor support
- Press the brackets into place so that the hooks hold them in position.
- Reinstall the left and right-hand floor supports on both sides
- Carefully press the insulation back into place
- Tighten the floor supports in the floor. Tighten using the three screws and using the screw through the tailgate sill trim panel
- Reinstall the CD/RTI units if applicable. Tighten the CD/RTI units using the previously disconnected screws and washers
- Reinstall the insulation panel cargo compartment. Install the storage box
- Reinstall the side panels. Reconnect the 12V socket connector if this was disconnected
- Reinstall the front floor hatch
- Fold the rear backrests up on both sides.
- Press the new floor hatch (from the kit) into the mountings
- Fold up the floor hatch until it is standing in the vertical position
- Fold out the side support (1) on the right and left-hand sides. Securely hook the end mounting of the strap (2) in the lug (3).
