Trim molding, replacing

Special tools:

Removing the front trim molding




- Remove the turn signal lamps. See Side turn signal flasher, replacing Service and Repair
- Detach the two covered clips and locating pins by pulling straight out.

Removing the trim molding from the front door




- Detach the two covered clips and locating pins and the double-sided adhesive tape by pulling straight out.

Removing the trim molding from the rear door




- Detach the two covered clips and locating pins and the double-sided adhesive tape by pulling straight out.

Installing the trim molding
Remove the remaining adhesive. Use: 951 2942 Circle 951 2942 Circle and: 951 2949 Holder 951 2949 Holder.
Remove any adhesive residue. Use isopropanol.
Ensure that the trim is positioned correctly against the stamped section.
Remove the masking tape.
Guide the clips into the holes.
Press the trim into place. Massage the tape after application.
