Rear Door Hinge: Service and Repair

Hinges, rear side door, replacing

Special tools:
950 1080 Fixture 950 1080 Fixture

Only when replacing the B-post




Install door support 950 1080 Fixture 950 1080 Fixture.
Align the door and hinges so that the edge of the hinges are positioned in the punched out hole in the post (1).
Tack weld the hinges into place.
Check the alignment and clearance
Remove the door.
Remove the door support.




Weld the hinges into place.
Ensure that the welds are in the holes in the B-post.
Seal the rear edge (2). See Body, sealant application chart
