Checking the cables and components
Hint: The phone module is connected to the GPS antenna via a connector on the right A-pillar.
- Ignition off.
Check the antenna cable between the phone module (PHM) connector G (grey) and connector E (connector 1) on the right A-pillar for a short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If no fault is found on the antenna cable, test again after replacing antenna.
Do the necessary corrective action.

- Ignition off.
- Connect connector, install components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Turn on the phone.
- Wait approximately 20 seconds.
Click on the VCT 2000 symbol to read the diagnostic trouble codes.
Check that the status of the current diagnostic trouble code has changed from permanent to intermittent fault.
