Communication Missing. Permanent Fault
Communication missing. Permanent fault
Checking the component and wiring
- Ignition off.
Caution! Do not touch the terminal pins in the SRS control module. There is a risk of static discharge which could damage the SRS control module.
Note! Check that the side impact sensor is connected.
Check the cable between the SRS control module and the connector / terminal for the side impact sensor according to the following:
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00B1,
front left side impact sensor #8A(8), #9A(9) and connector #1, #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00B6,
front right side impact sensor #8C(4), #9C(5) and connector #1, #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00BB,
rear left side impact sensor #27A(27), #28A(28) and connector #1, #2.
for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-00C0,
rear right side impact sensor #27C(23), #28C(24) and connector #1, #2.
for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.
