Replacing the component
Replace the relay for the rear foldable head restraint (position 2/75). Check the relay connection, in particular the relay guide (2/75 terminal 2), for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

- When the relay is installed and activated, the voltage at the relay guide (terminal 2) should be 0 V.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.
- Ignition off.
- Install the components, connect the connectors, etc.
- Make sure that head restraint is folded up.
Head restraints are folded up manually.
- Ignition on.
Activate rear collapsible head restraint. Check that the head restraint folds down. The function switches off in 120 seconds if activated more than four times in one minute.
Do head restraints fold down?
