Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PHM-0022 is stored if the car-phone module registers that there is a short-circuit to supply voltage in the power supply to the handset.

- Only hands-free operates.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to power supply in the wiring (power supply) to the handset from the control module.

Fault symptom[s]
- The car-phone handset is not functioning
- Message in the text display (for car phones with Volvo On Call).
