Checking the cable
Hint: The fault could also have been caused by the tailgate wiper sticking.

Check fuse 11D/12.
Check the cable between fuse 11D/12 #2 and rear electronic module relay base 2/16 #3. Check the cable between fuse 11D/12 #2 and rear electronic module relay base 2/72 #3. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the cable between rear electronic module relay base 2/16 #1 and wiper motor 6/32 #2. Check the cable between rear electronic module relay base 2/72 #1 and wiper motor 6/32 #1. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the cable between wiper motor 6/32 #3 and ground terminal 31/72. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If no other faults are found try a new tailgate wiper motor (6/32).
Remedy as necessary.

- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Activate the tailgate wiper.
Activate intermittent mode.

Is the function OK?
