Sun blind for the rear doors

Note! The window must be at least +10°C so the marking tape will secure properly.

Hint: The sun blind must be mounted at the top of the door panel and hooked onto the top edge of the side window. The sun blind will then move up and down with the window.

Preparations




- Lower the rear side window to its lowest position.
- Position the mounting plates between the door panel and the weatherstrip as illustrated.
Ensure that the position of the mounting plates corresponds to the mountings on the sun blinds.

Installing the sun blind




- Take out the sun blind. There is a decal on the sun blind that indicates whether it is intended for the left (LH) or right (RH) window.
- Remove the backing from the pieces of tape.




- Ensure that the sun blind is against the front door post (1) before pressing the sun blind down and against the door panel.
- The mounting for the sun blind must be inserted and pressed down between the mounting plate and the door panel using a twisting movement as illustrated. Do NOT press down vertically only.
Press the sun blind down against the door panel until a click is heard. The lower edge of the sun blind mountings must grip around the edge of the door panel as illustrated.
- Remove the mounting plates.
- Check that the sun blind is against the door panel. If the sunblind is not against the door panel, press the sun blind down further.




- Position the hook 3 mm (1/8") behind the front limit position of the hook.
- Clean the marked surface on the inside of the window using a wet wipe (from the kit). Allow the window to dry.




- Install the marking tape on the inside of the window in front of the hook and 2 mm (5/64") under and parallel with the upper edge of the window as illustrated. (The hook must remain in the same position behind its front limit position.)
- Hang the hook up centrally over the marking tape on the window. The hook must always hang over the centre of the marking tape when using the sun blind.
- Repeat points 1 -5 for the other sun blind.

Function test




- Check the function. Raise and lower the side window.
