Rear windshield sun blind

Preparations




- Open the trunk lid
- Lift the parcel shelf panel up slightly. Position the support blocks on the plate surface between the two right hand holes in the parcel shelf as illustrated
- Repeat the operation on the other side.




- Locate the centre hole on the underside of the parcel shelf
- Mark out and drill a - 8 mm (5/16") hole in the centre of the visible section of the parcel shelf above the hole as illustrated.

Installing the sun blind




- Take out the sun blind (1). Insert the stud (2) in the newly drilled hole in the parcel shelf
- Ensure that the sun blind is positioned parallel on the parcel shelf
- Install the plain washer (3), the locking washer (4) and the nut (5) on the stud. Tighten the sun blind but not too hard yet.




- Pull the sun blind up. Secure the hooks in the mountings above the rear windshield.
Adjust the position of the sun blind. Then tighten the nut underneath.




- Press the ends of the sun blind down so that it is against the underlay. At the same time press an awl through the screw holes in the ends of the sun blind, to make holes in the parcel shelf
- Screw the sun blind into place using a screw (1) at each end.

Hint: Use a magnetic screwdriver or butyl tape to facilitate installing the screw in the narrow gap by the window.

- Install the covers (2) over the ends.
