Checking the oil level and oil grade




- Ignition off.

Checking the oil level
Check the oil level in the coupling (Active on Demand Coupling).
If the oil level is low, check for leaks at:
- the seal for the input shaft
- the seal joint between the coupling (Active on Demand Coupling) and the rear axle
- the seal joint between the control module and the housing.

Check the quality of the oil
Also check the quality of the oil by feeling and smelling it.
If the oil is dark and smells burnt, the AOC (Active on Demand Coupling)unit must be replaced.
If there is swarf and particles in the oil, the AOC (Active on Demand Coupling)unit must be replaced.
