Power Steering Pump Pulley

Replacing power steering pump pulley
Special tools: 999 5737, 999 5738, 999 5575, 999 5628

Removing pulley





- Remove the power steering pump.
- Secure the power steering pump in a vise.
- Remove the pulley. Use puller 999 5737.

Installing pulley, alternative 1
Install the pulley. Lubricate the pump shaft with oil





Use press tool 999 5738.

- Note: These instructions must be followed carefully.

- Counterhold with B.
- Tighten with A.





- Press in the pulley to the listed measurement.
- Install the power steering pump.

Installing pulley, alternative 2
- Install the screw on the pump shaft.

Note: Use a screw with the correct thread (M8x75 mm).

- Install special tool 5628-1 on compression tool 999 5575.





- Lubricate the pump shaft and install the pulley.
- Install tool 999 5628 on the pulley.
- Hook tool 5628-1 onto the screw for the pump shaft.





- Press in the pulley to the listed measurement.
- Install the power steering pump.
