Applies to all cars
- Fold the backrest forward.
- Push the upholstery and padding to one side of the SIPS tube
- Insert the U bracket (1) through the SIPS tube from underneath. The U-bracket studs must protrude outwards towards the upholstery on the upper side of the SIPS tube
- Make a cut in the upholstery for the studs. Use a knife.
Note! Do not damage the heated cushion.
- Pull the U-bracket through
- Thread the anchor mounting (2) on the U- bracket. Ensure that the anchor is against the SIPS tube
- Install and tighten the nuts (3). When tightening the nuts, ensure that they are tightened alternately to prevent the mountings from twisting. Also ensure that any foam and upholstery is pushed out of the way to prevent it from coming between the anchor mounting and SIPS tube. The anchor mounting and SIPS tube must be against each other after tightening. Tighten to 7 Nm (5.3 lbf.ft.)
- Install the rubber caps (4) (from the kit) on the protruding studs.
- Fold the backrest back into place.
