General information
Check that the male and female terminals on the connectors are undamaged and secure (cannot be pressed in). Check that the cables to the female terminals are secured to the terminal pins.
The breakout box is designed to facilitate reading off the control module input and output signals when the control module is connected, and the cable and component resistance when the control module is disconnected. The use of a breakout box reduces the risk of accidental short-circuited cables and damage to the connector pins.
Connecting the breakout box
- Ignition off
- To expose the climate control module (CCM) connector.
- To expose the evaporator temperature sensor connector.
- To expose the sun sensor connector, see Sun sensor / alarm LED, replacing.
Connect breakout box 951 1428 to the adapter.
Climate control module (CCM)
- Connect adapter 951 1463 to control module connectors A and B
- For connector A, terminals #A1-#A16 correspond to terminals #25-#40 on the breakout box
- For connector B, terminals #B1-#B22 correspond to terminals #1-#22 on the breakout box.
Evaporator temperature sensor
- Connect adapter 951 1463 to the evaporator temperature sensor connector
- Terminals #1-#5 on the connector correspond to terminals #26-#30 on the breakout box.
Sun sensor
- Connect adapter 951 1463 to the sun sensor connector
- Terminals #1-#5 on the connector correspond to terminals #26-#30 on the breakout box.
