Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair






Mass air flow (MAF) sensor, replacing

Removal and Installation

Note! As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Removing the air cleaner (ACL)





Remove:
- the turbocharger control valve from the air cleaner (ACL) housing
- the screws in the front panel for the inlet hose
- the screws in the air cleaner (ACL) housing for the inlet hose
- the inlet hose
- the nuts for the air cleaner (ACL) housing
- the hose clamp for the mass air flow (MAF) sensor. Disconnect the connector for the mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- the air cleaner (ACL) assembly.

Removing the mass air flow (MAF) sensor

Remove:
- the screws for the mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Installing the mass air flow (MAF) sensor

Install:
- the mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- the screws. Tighten.




- air cleaner (ACL) assembly
- the hose clamp for the mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- the nuts for the air cleaner (ACL) housing. Tighten
- the inlet hose
- the screws for the inlet hose. Tighten
- the turbocharger control valve on the air cleaner (ACL).
Connect the connector to the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
