Checking the wiring and component
Check that the "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 is intact. Check that the relay is correctly installed.
Check that the main fuse 11E/5 and 11D/5 is intact.
Check the cable between main fuse 11E/5 and "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 terminal #5. Check the cable between main fuse 11D/5 and "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 terminal #1. Check the cable between rear electronic module terminal #D1 (#B01) and "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 terminal #2. Check these cables for an open-circuit.
Check the relay terminals. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.
Try a new relay if no faults are found.

- When the relay is installed and not activated, the voltage at the relay guide must be 12 V
