Replacing the keypad unit
The fault has probably occurred as a result of an internal fault in the carphone module. This type of fault means that the carphone module must be replaced.

Caution! A new carphone module is delivered without software. The carphone module must be programmed in order to function after replacement.

- To program and access or replace the carphone module, see Phone module (PHM), replacing Service and Repair.

Select "Continue" when the fault has been remedied.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Ignition off.
- Connect connector, install components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Turn on the phone.
- Wait approximately 20 seconds.
Click on the VCT 2000 symbol to read the diagnostic trouble codes.
Check that the status of the current diagnostic trouble code has changed from permanent to intermittent fault.
