Checking the pump motor
- Ignition on.
Check if the pump motor in the unit for four wheel drive (Active on Demand Coupling) starts and runs normally.
Hint: The motor must hum and vibrate slightly. Listen using a stethoscope or a screwdriver pressed to your ear
Is the oil pump motor working?
Yes - No Fault Found
No - Checking the status

Checking the status
- Ignition on
- Disconnect the 2-pin connector for the feed pump.
Disconnect the connector from the differential electronic module (DEM) to the feed pump. Take a reading using a voltmeter between terminals #1 and #2 on the connector for the pump motor. The voltmeter should read battery voltage.
If the voltage was OK, check the connector. Check for bent or damaged pins.
Remedy as necessary.
