Condition




The differential electronic module (DEM) checks whether the signal from the oil temperature sensor is within its permitted range by comparing the signal with a calculated value.
When the engine speed exceeds 500 rpm, the control module calculates the temperature theoretically. The calculated temperature is compared to the oil temperature sensor signal. If the signal from the oil temperature sensor corresponds to a temperature below -128°C or higher than +127°C, the control module sees this as a fault. Diagnostic trouble code DEM-0001 is stored.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) DEM-0001 can be diagnosed with the engine running and the engine speed >500 rpm.

- Four wheel drive is blocked.
