SAS 0048 Control Unit Voltage Supply (Signal too high - Permanent fault; Signal too high - intermittent fault)

Condition





If the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor (SAS) control unit registers that battery voltage exceeds approximately 16 V, diagnostic trouble code SAS-0048 will be stored.

- Nothing.

Possible Source
- A battery charger/starter unit with excessive voltage is connected.
- The charging system overloads.

Fault symptom[s]
- Anti-spin warning lamp is on.
