SAS 0047 Control Module (Signal missing - permanent fault; Signal missing - intermittent fault)

Condition





- If the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor (SAS) control unit registers that the ground connection to the control unit is missing, diagnostic trouble code SAS-0047 will be stored.

Substitute value
- Stabilizing function disconnected.

Possible Source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connector of the steering wheel angle sensor control unit or the Steering Wheel Control Unit (SWM).
- Open circuit in ground connection.
- Internal fault in control unit.
- Signal wire short circuited to voltage supply.

Fault symptom[s]
- Anti-spin warning lamp is on.
- Stabilizing function not working.
