Shift Cable: Adjustments

Preparatory work
Ignition off.

Removing engine compartment components





Remove the air cleaner housing ACL assembly with the intake pipe. Pull the Air Cleaner (ACL) housing out of its mountings.

Adjusting the mechanical cable





Remove the ball joint for the outer cable from the side lever. Use jimmy tool 999 7077.
Release the adjuster on the cable.
Check that the gear selector lever is in neutral.





Press the ball joint for the cable into place on the lever by hand.
Press the adjuster into place so that it is locked on the cable.

Installing engine compartment components







Install the Air Cleaner (ACL) housing, including all hoses and electrical terminals.
