This method applies to S60 Sport.
Removal
Removing the front spoiler
Drill out the rivets in both the front wheel arches. See: Removing rivet .
Drill out the 2 rivets at the front on the underneath of the front spoiler. See: Removing rivet .
Use a weatherstrip tool to detach the front spoiler from the bumper cover.
Hint: If the spoiler is difficult to remove, use a hot-air gun and heat gently.
Installation
Preparatory work before installing the front spoiler
Remove any tape residue from the components and the vehicle. Use: 951 2942 Circle 951 2942 Circle and: 951 2949 Holder 951 2949 Holder.
Use primer intended for tape on PP/EPDM components. Wash the bumper cover at the join between the painted and unpainted section.
Use primer intended for tape on PUR components. Wash the spoiler where the tape will be applied.
Install 3 separate pieces of new tape on the front spoiler. See the illustration.
Installing the front spoiler
Remove the backing from the 3 pieces of tape.
Press the spoiler into place on the bumper cover in the join between the painted and unpainted sections of the bumper cover.
Install the rivets in the wheel arch, 1 on each side.
Note! If a spoiler has not previously been installed on the vehicle, a hole must be drilled using a - 5 mm diameter drill bit.Use the spoiler hole as a template.
Install rivets on the underneath through the flexible hinge and through the holes in the bumper cover.
Install a washer at the top of the rivets. Tighten.
Bend up the flexible hinges at the front edge/bottom edge of the spoiler.
Install the rivets through the hinges in the drilled holes.
Note! If a spoiler has not previously been installed on the vehicle, holes must be drilled using a - 5 mm diameter drill bit.Use the hinge holes as a template.
Finishing
Important information
Leave the vehicle indoors for 2 hours after finishing the work.
To ensure optimal adhesion, do not wash the car for 48 hours.
