Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair






Lift mechanism, rear door

Preparatory work

Adjusting the window position
Lower the window 150 mm.
Ignition off.

Removal

Removing the lift mechanism
Remove the window. See: Rear side window Service and Repair.
Secure the glass at the upper door arch. Use tape.





Remove:
- the outer door handle. See Outer handle, rear door Service and Repair
- the screw.





Remove:
- the 3 x screws for the lock mechanism
- the 8 x screws for the door cassette.
Detach the rubber boot and unhook the lock button (1).




Remove the connector.
Press the cable harness into the door.




Angle the door cassette out of the door.





Remove:
- 4 rivets. See: Removing rivets
- the lift mechanism.

Installation

Installing the lift mechanism





Install:
- the lift mechanism
- 4 rivets.




Angle the door cassette into the door.
Route the cable harness into the door.
Connect the connector.





Install:
- the 8 x M6 screws for the door cassette. Tighten. See: Tightening torque [1][2]Body and Frame
- the screw.





Install:
- the 3 x M6 screws for the lock mechanism. Tighten. See: Tightening torque [1][2]Body and Frame
- the lock button (1)
- the outer door handle. See Outer handle, rear door Service and Repair.
Remove the tape and install the window. See: Rear side window Service and Repair.
Close the window.
