Back Window Glass: Service and Repair






Rear windscreen

Removal

Removing the rear windshield





Remove:
- the upper panels on the C-pillars. C-Pillar Trim Panel
- the wiring from the rear windshield.




Lubricate the windshield weatherstrip using soap solution.
Feed the wire down around the windshield and secure with tape at the top edge.
Tension the wire when going around the corners to ensure it remains in place.




Pull in the surplus wire as illustrated.




Secure the long wire to the winch.





Caution! Protect the parcel shelf and the panels using the parabolic chisel or the plastic disc.




Secure a winch. Winch in the long wire.




Release the winch from the windshield. Pull out the lug (1) and move the winch.

Note! Hold the roll secure with your fingers so that the wire does not spin off.




Secure the winch in the new position.




Secure the winch (2).









Installation

Installing the rear windshield
Bond the rear windshield in place. Service and Repair

Install:
- the wiring on the windshield
- the upper panels on the C-posts. C-Pillar Trim Panel
