Carry out on both the left and right-hand sides:
- Detach the end of the bumper cover. Grasp the bumper cover inside the wing liner and pull carefully until the six catches at the top edge release (illustration A)
- Remove the bumper cover by pulling it straight backwards (illustration B).

- Clean any underseal and dirt from the collision member where the L-profile for the tow hitch is to be located
- Take the L-profile, four M10x30 flanged screws and four flange nuts from the kit. Install the L-profile on the collision member as illustrated. Do not fully tighten yet.

Note! Hold the towing ball horizontal when securing.

- Take four M10x25 flanged screws and the long mounting plate with welded nuts from the kit. Install the mounting plate on the front of the panel edge, at the bottom edge of the chassis. Install the screws
- Alternately tighten the four M10 screws for the L-profile (see illustration 4), so that the L-profile is correctly positioned against both sides of the collision member
- Tighten the four screws. Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lbf. ft)
- Tighten the four M10 screws in the panel edge, at the bottom edge of the chassis. Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lbf. ft.)
- Tighten the two M14 screws through the spacer pipes. Tighten to 200 Nm (147 lbf. ft.).

- Install the towbar wiring according to the separate Installation Instructions.

- Apply tape to the outside of the bumper cover, opposite the markings on the inside and up to the lower embossing on the trim strip. This is done to protect the paint from the saw when cutting out the cut-out for the tow hitch. It also provides protection from the tow hitch when reinstalling the bumper cover
- Cut out the cut-out following the existing markings.

Note! Do not damage the painted surface of the bumper cover. Cut so that the raised edge on the inside remains. The raised edge marks the cut-out.

- Smooth off the sawn edges with a fine toothed file.

- Reinstall the bumper cover on the chassis using the screws in the wheel arches, on the top and at the bottom of the bumper cover
- Press the ends of the bumper cover into place so that the catches in the chassis engage
- Remove the masking tape.

- Take the towing ball, the two M16 flanged screws and the two M16 flange nuts from the kit. Then tighten these to the tow hitch. Tighten to 195 Nm (144 lbf. ft.).
