Checking The Wiring And Component







- Ignition off.
- Open the transmission control system.

Check wiring between terminal #5 on the 8-pin transmission connector (transmission side) and solenoid SLS terminal #1.

Check the wiring between transmission terminal #6 (transmission side) and solenoid SLS terminal #2.

Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.

Check the solenoid SLS by measuring the resistance between terminals #1 and #2 on the connector. The resistance should be 5 - 5.6 Ohms at 20 degree C.

Replace the transmission control system if the resistance is incorrect.
