Checking The Wiring And Component







- Ignition off.
- Open the transmission control system.

Check wiring between transmission connector terminal #5 on the 8-pin transmission connector (transmission side) and solenoid SLS terminal #1.

Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #6 on the 8-pin transmission connector (transmission side) and solenoid SLS terminal #2.

Check for a short-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.

Also check against the other cables in the circuit. Use the relevant wiring diagram.

Check the solenoid SLS by measuring the resistance between terminals #1 and #2 on the connector. The resistance should be 5 - 5.6 Ohms (at 20 degree C). Replace the transmission control system if the resistance is incorrect.
