Checking The Wiring And Component
- Ignition off.
- Open the transmission control system.
Check wiring between transmission connector terminal #1 on the 8-pin transmission connector and solenoid SLU terminal #1.
Check the wiring between transmission terminal #2 on the 8-pin transmission connector and solenoid SLU terminal #2.
Check for an short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.
Check the solenoid SLU by measuring the resistance between solenoid connector terminals #1 and #2. The resistance should be 5 - 5.6 Ohms at 20 degree C. Replace the transmission control system if the resistance is incorrect.
