Checking The Resistance Of The Kickdown Switch







- Ignition off.
- Disconnect the kickdown switch.

Connect an ohmmeter between kickdown switch terminals 1 and 2.
Fully depress the kickdown switch (KD).

The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 Ohm with the kickdown switch (KD) fully depressed and infinite resistance in the released position.

Is the correct reading displayed?

YES: Continue with Next Procedure. Refer To Checking For A Short-Circuit.
NO: Refer To Replacing The Component. Replacing the Component
