Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Start the engine. Allow the engine to idle. There is a fault if the engine does not start
- Read off the diagnostic status and the fault status for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
Check that the fault status is "No fault detected" when the diagnostic status is "Completed". If the fault status is "Fault found" when the diagnostic status is "Completed" there is a fault.
