Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-23X0

Condition




The engine control module (ECM) checks the signal cable for the injector. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the signal for the injector is too high, too low or missing.
The third figure (X) in the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates which of the injectors 1-5 is being referred to.
The diagnostic is active at ignition on and with the engine running.

None.

Possible source

Signal too high
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- Damaged injector.

Signal too low
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable.

Signal missing
- Open-circuit in the signal cable
- Open-circuit in the power supply to the injector
- Damaged injector
- Contact resistance in the terminals.

Fault symptom[s]
- Engine not firing on all cylinders
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
