Checking the component
- Check the boost pressure sensor connector. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Read of the boost pressure and the atmospheric pressure with the ignition on. Check the difference between the pressure readings. The difference must not be greater than 140 hPa.
If the difference between the pressures is greater than 140 hPa, try using a new boost pressure sensor.
Hint: Normal atmospheric pressure is approximately 1013 hPa. This value varies depending on other circumstances. The atmospheric pressure sensor is integrated in the engine control module (ECM). The atmospheric pressure sensor cannot be replaced individually.
Remedy as necessary.
